Barnegat Schools

Barnegat Board of Education issued two Requests for Proposals for a Solar Power Purchase Agreement and failed to reach contract agreements with the other vendors. Eznergy had proposed on the RFP and was asked to negotiate a contract with the School Board. Eznergy arranged for an EPC contractor to quote on the installation and arranged for Power Purchase Agreement financing with one of our partner PPA firms. Eznergy arranged for the installation of the 6 schools in less than 6 months. The solar systems even survived with no damage thru the Hurricane Sandy storm of 2012!

The result is a 1.4 MW solar project encompassing 6 schools that are providing solar energy at 33% below the local utility cost with a combined cumulative savings of many thousands over the 15 year term of the Power Purchase Agreement.

Eznergy has also arranged for a solar education presentation for all of the schools and students at Barnegat Schools and each school will have a electronic display that shows the solar energy production live via the internet. The internet monitoring system provided also displays the environmental benefits the solar system is delivering for the school.

Paramus Schools

Paramus Schools issued a Power Purchase Agreement RFP for selected schools. EZNERGY put together a team to attend the mandatory bidder’s conference, site walks of all schools and developed the proposal to meet the stringent requirements of the Power Purchase Agreement.
The EZNERGY team won the award for the four schools and was selected as the EPC firm to successfully install the solar systems. The result is a 1.0 MW solar project encompassing 4 schools that are providing solar energy at 30% below the local utility cost EZNERGY has also arranged for a solar education presentation available for all of the schools and students at Paramus Schools and each school has an electronic display in the school lobby that shows the solar energy production live via the internet. The internet monitoring system provided also displays the environmental benefits the solar system is delivering for the school and the system can be accessed anywhere via the internet.

Toms River Schools
Toms River, NJ
4.5 MW • 13 Roof Mounted Systems

Toms River Regional Schools had wanted to implement solar power on School buildings that also needed new roofs. Toms River went out to bid twice for solar but no vendor offered a viable solution and both bids were canceled. EZNERGY formed a team of an innovative roofing company, several PPA finance companies and a reliable experienced solar installation company and proposed together on the project the third time it was released. The team was awarded the project and the solar has been successfully installed at the 13 school locations with new roofs and electric cost savings. The result is a 4.5 MW solar and roofing project encompassing 13 local school buildings that are providing solar energy at 19% below the local utility cost with a combined cumulative savings of many thousands over 15 years. During that time, 60,000 megawatt-hours (MWH) of clean energy will be generated.

Department of Public Works, Municipal Building, JFK Library and JFK Community Center
Willingboro Twp, NJ
1.1 MW • 4 Roof Mounted Solar Systems

Willingboro Township released a public RFP for a Solar Photovoltaic System to both reduce their carbon footprint and also rewrite their yearly budgets with a significantly less portion allocated to energy costs. Eznergy partnered with Standard Alternative, who is the PPA Financing company. The team was awarded the project and solar has been successfully installed at Willingboro Township’s Municipal Building, the John F. Kennedy Library, the Department of Public Works (3 Garages), and the John F. Kennedy Community Center.

The result is a 1.1 MW solar project providing solar energy at a 43% reduction in cost versus the local utility cost. The savings over the 15 year PPA term are projected to be $1.2 Million. During that time, 1.4 Million kWh of clean energy will be generated.

Holland Brook School, Readington Middle School, Three Bridges School
Readington, NJ
1.2 MW • 3 Schools Ground and Roof Mounted Systems

Readington Township issued an RFP to obtain financing for a solar PPA. EZNERGY was awarded the contract over lower priced vendors because of several highly esteemed references in the area. EZNERGY retained status as the general contractor and partnered with a PPA finance company and experienced electrical installation personnel. The result is a 1.2 MW solar project encompassing 3 School Ground Mounted systems and Rooftop Solar systems that are providing solar energy at 30% below the local utility cost with a projected cumulative savings of several thousands of dollars over the next 15 years.

North Warren Regional Schools
Blairstown, NJ
700 kW Ground Mounted System

North Warren Regional School District issued a Request for Proposal for a Solar Power Purchase Agreement and the Eznergy team won the project with a detailed and comprehensive proposal. Eznergy managed an EPC contractor on the installation and arranged a Power Purchase Agreement with a PPA firm. The installation of the ground mounted system was completed and operational in 2014. The result is a 700 kW solar project at the North Warren School that is providing electricity below the local utility cost with a combined cumulative savings of several thousand over the 15 year term of the Power Purchase Agreement of renewable energy systems that provide organizations a hedge against energy price volatility and accelerate their access to clean energy without any capital outlay.

Crestwood Village 6
Whiting, NJ

Crewstood Village Six had received prevailing interest from several residents about gaining approval to furnish their home’s with solar PV systems. The homes in Crestwood Six do not utilize natural gas for their heating systems, but rather electric. In effect, many residents suffer from high electric bills in the winter and were desperate to find a money saving solution. Not only did Crestwood Village Six approve residents to put solar on their homes, but they saw such value that they decided to put it on their Clubhouse and Association Buildings.
